Set within the beautiful Dovedale Valley, The Izaak Walton is a 17th-century hotel with spectacular views across the Derbyshire countryside, known for its fishing streams. A log fire and wooden beamed ceilings feature in the hotel lounge. The Hotel owns the fishing rights on the Staffordshire bank of the beautiful River Dove.

With breath taking views of the Dovedale Valley and creative interpretations on traditional dishes the Haddon Restaurant is the place to dine in style.

The Haddon Restaurant offers fine dining and stunning panoramic views over Thorpe Cloud Hill and Dovedale. You can go fishing in one of the finest trout streams, the River Dove, which is just 200 metres away and was made famous in ‘The Complete Angler’. The Hotel owns the fishing rights on the Staffordshire bank of the beautiful River Dove. The fishery extends from the imposing Ilam rock 3 miles downstream to the junction with the River Manifold on the right bank.
Our 5 impressive meeting rooms can accommodate between 6 and 30 delegates in a boardroom style layout, with our largest room able to seat up to 120 delegates for a conference, or guests for a banquet.
