CAPC - Bordeaux Museum of Contemporary Art
Discover an artistic Bordeaux at CAPC. It is in a former colonial warehouse built in the nineteenth century that, since 1974, you will find the Museum of Contemporary Art of Bordeaux, or CAPC. Not far from the quay Louis-XVIII, on the banks of the Garonne, this architecturally unique building is dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art in Bordeaux. It is one of the most important contemporary collections in France, not far from your Campanile Bordeaux Gare Saint Jean. An important step in your exploration of Bordeaux, on the cultural side. Under its centuries-old vaults, the CAPC permanently exhibits the works of more than 190 Bordeaux artists. Music, painting, architecture: all the graphic arts meet here. In addition to its permanent fund, the CAPC regularly invites artists, musicians, performers and speakers to take possession of the premises.
