Did you know?
Béziers is the home town of the famous resistance fighter Jean Moulin, who was the Prefect of the department of Eure-et-Loir. Marked by a large scar on his throat, the sign of an attempted suicide in response to German occupation, Jean Moulin used to always wear a red scarf tied around his neck to hide it, and thus avoid being recognized by the enemy. This scarf has now become a symbol of he who was one of Resistance leaders, friend of General de Gaulle.
