1 week
As a family
Start your weekend in Torcy with a good breakfast. Stroll through the city, admire the church of Saint-Barthélemy, discover the famous "Menier houses", then wander around the lakes that line the city. Take a stroll along the banks of the Marne and treat yourself to a river cruise to Nogent-sur-Marne. Don’t miss the cultural park of Rentilly, a beautiful green space with an area dedicated to exhibitions. Finally, make the most of your short stay in Seine-et-Marne at Campanile hotels by admiring the Château de Jossigny, not far from Torcy.
Booked a room for a week at Campanile Torcy? After exploring the city and taking advantage of the region’s green areas, head towards Champs-sur-Marne, near Torcy. Visit its eighteenth-century castle, stroll through the adjoining gardens and then have a picnic in nearby Parc Noisiel. For a shopping break, visit the Val d'Europe shopping mall as well as La Vallée Village and its outlet stores. Your stay in Île-de-France can also be an opportunity to discover Paris and its beautiful monuments. The capital is easily accessible by the RER or highway.
Staying in Torcy, you will be ideally located to spend a day with the family at Disneyland Paris: this amusement park will delight young and old alike! Another great discover is "Jungle Paradise", a center located in Émerainville that offers activities for children under 12 years. To see marine animals, head for the Sea Life aquarium, in the Val d'Europe shopping mall. For a nature break, head to the Vaires-Torcy leisure island. Thanks to the Campanile hotels, you can make the most of the activities in Seine-et-Marne such as laser tag, escape rooms and bowling - activities that are sure to appeal to teenagers.

Torcy’s culinary specialties
In our Campanile Torcy hotel restaurants, discover the gastronomy of Seine-et-Marne: taste the "friture de la Marne," fried goujons with local cheeses, such as brie de Meaux, Melun or Coulommiers. For dessert, don’t miss the niflette, a delicious tart. The department also offers excellent condiments, such as Lagny vinegar and Meaux mustard. Sweet tooth? Try the coquelicot de Nemours, a hard candy, as well as barley sugar from Moret-sur-Loing. Finally, treat yourself (in moderation!) to a Brie beer.

Must-see events in Torcy
Like other towns on the banks of the Marne, each year Torcy holds the "Fête de la Marne." Events and games are offered in a guinguette atmosphere. Love collections of cars or motorcycles? Don't miss the Torcy on the Road festival. Fans of heavy metal music will also love the Fall of Summer Festival. And if you like bargain hunting, head to Troc et Puces, the second biggest flea market in France. Before returning to your room at the Campanile accommodation, you can take part in the hotel's events (aperitifs, tastings, etc.).

Interesting facts about Torcy
Once a rural settlement, Torcy owes its industrialization to the installation of the Menier chocolate factory in Noisiel in the 19th century. The chocolate box shop was then established in Torcy. Menier's workers were nicknamed the "chocolates". If you book a room at the Campanile Torcy hotels, don’t forget to visit the "maisons Menier," build in the typical style of the era. The former chocolate factory is now home to Nestlé’s headquarters. It can be visited during Heritage Days but the factory will soon be closing its doors.
