Conveniently, Annecy has both an international airport and well-connected train station within close proximity. Hotel Campanile Annecy Nord – Metz Tessy is very near to Aeroport d‘Annecy Meythet. Further afield, Annecy is within easy reach of the larger cities of Geneva to the north, Lyon to the west and Chambery to the south.

There are a number of famous events which take place in Annecy throughout the calendar year. Notably, the Lake Festival each August draws in around 100,000 spectators a year, with its wide array of entertainment. In October, meanwhile, the city hosts Descente des Alpages, a traditional farming festival, featuring music and other forms of entertainment.
Annecy hosts the 18th stage of the prestigious road cycling competition, the Tour de France. With just 40km of track, it is one of the shorter stages of the three-week competition, which sees cyclists begin in Monaco , and finish in Paris , competing on 21 different stages. If you’re interested in catching the race, it usually takes place towards in mid-July.
