A two-day break
A two-day trip is just enough time to explore Beaune and the surrounding area. Walk around the city, visit the Hotel-Dieu de Beaune, a historic building, originally a hospital founded in 1443, which is now a museum. The next must-do activity, of course, is to go and try some wine. There are plenty of places within a close proximity of the city to go, or, alternatively, why not venture to one of the surrounding villages for some tasting ? Just a short distance from the centre of the city is Hotel Campanile Beaune making sure you make the most of the city.
A week-long stay
During a week-long stay, the city of Beaune can be enjoyed to its maximum, while you can also venture further out into the surround countryside. See the city in the best possible way by taking the Visiotrain 2000 tour around the Beaune and then venture out of town and explore the rolling hills, and try a range of Burgundy wines. It is also worth exploring the markets and trying a variety of food in the area.
A family holiday
Beaune and the surrounding area is not just about wine, architecture and history - there are a lot of attractions for children and families also. Less than 30km to the north is Florida Parc, an amusement area which features opportunities to pet and feed animals, a small rollercoaster and Go-Karting. A little further away, to the north-west, is Parc de l’Auxois, a zoo and water park designed for the whole family to enjoy.
