Arrived early as attending the Rugby. Couldn't check in early however was able to leave luggage with reception (thank you Cecile). Really easy to get buses to and from Cardiff...
Arrived early as attending the Rugby. Couldn't check in early however was able to leave luggage with reception (thank you Cecile). Really easy to get buses to and from Cardiff Central with choices from X1 57,58 and 59 and the bus stops only a short distance away. So it takes a little longer than a taxi but you can get an all day rider ticket £3.80 or a return ticket for £3.20. Hotel in the outskirts. A compact motel but everything you need for a short stay. Having thought I booked a twin room I was given the key for a double - but this was quickly sorted out for me by the guy on reception and a big thanks to Krystina for sorting it all out for us - much appreciated. Breakfast lovely with a small surcharge for a cooked breakfast - but well worth it. Freshly cooked and every part of it tasty. Bed very comfortable and good value for oney in comparison to the central alternatives. Would do a short stay again at this location.

Recently stayed in this hotel for a short trip to the Cardiff area. It feels more like an American motel in some ways, as the accommodation is in a 2 story motel type block that is set apart from the reception/restaurant areas.

It's a fairly basic hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy but make a Travelodge feel luxurious, but are just about OK for a budget hotel.

The staff are friendly, and we had some reasonable meals in the breakfast/restaurant area. But I don't think I'd stay here again, I'd rather pay a bit more for a better hotel. I guess it depends what you want/what you're prepared to pay etc, Cardiff hotels can be expensive so if you're on a budget this might be ok if you are happy with a basic hotel experience.

We used to stay here many years ago, when it was busy and new,
the restaurant was always good, with a really nice French Bistro vibe,
and the food was always Good.
What a pity that this restaurant has gone down hill, and the staff don't seem to care.

First of all the was no Alcohol free Beer, as no one ever orders it.
They didn't even have any lemonade as no one ever orders that also.
The menu was limited, but we pushed on and tried to find something we might enjoy.
The quality was poor, the portions small and the prices were HIGH !!!

My best advice is to drive a little further and find somewhere where the staff Care.
