Interesting facts about Venlo
The origin of Venlo's name is subject to many theories and interpretations. Today, no hypothesis has been confirmed, but according to several scholars, "ven" means a pond in marshy area, and "lo" means a wood. Thus, Venlo might well mean "the wood of the pond". In the absence of a pond or wood, during your stay in Venlo at Campanile accommodation, you can walk along a river, the Meuse, and through the city’s green areas.
